Whisling Island Events is by Julia Clemens. This is the 8th book in the series. It took me a little while to figure out who each of the characters was and how they were related to the others and to get use to having each chapter change to a different character and still figure out what was going on. Once I did, the book went faster. It was really good to get back to the Island and visit old friends. There were few new characters and a few new problems; but mostly it was catching up with friends. This makes for a good book though and it is what made we enjoy this book. This installment in the Whistling Island series was satisfying. It moved several storylines a long and each one was well written and made me eager to read the next one. I was sad for Piper’s loss of her child but happy that other couples found happiness. I wanted to yell at Marsha and yet I remain hopeful things will work out in the end. I think this is best read as part of a series and not as a stand alone.
